Join us on Saturday, September 14, at the Cannon Beach History Center & Museum for a post-tour reception and concert. Music starts at 6:00 p.m. and goes until 8:00 p.m. This event is included in the cost of your home tour ticket, but if you’d like to attend this event on it’s own, tickets may be purchased at the door.
The concert is a great way to kick back and relax, listen to some music and ruminate on the highlights of the day. This year, we are featuring the ultra talented and award winning Julie Amici and Dean Mueller. These two performers have been a secret local favorite, but the secret is out and how could it not be? No one can hide this talent forever! These two have been discovered by the Portland Tribune, The Cascade Blues Association, the Tillamook Herald, and more! Over the last year they’ve collaborated with Curtis Salgado, Chris Carlson, Alan Hager, Dave Fleschner, Dan Gildea, Henry Cooper, Carlton Jackson, Mark Shark, Alan Jones, and many others. We can’t say enough about Julie’s beautiful and haunting voice, or Dean’s inspiring bass playing. Julie’s strong yet sweet voice is reminiscent of the 50’s when female singers ruled the world of music, a time when jazz and blues co-mingled at the height of popular culture. Her repertoire combines the jazz of Billie Holiday with the soul of Nina Simone and the sophisticated country of Patsy Cline. Dean’s bass playing is rooted in the blues chops he earned playing with some of the finest blues legends in America and touring with the award winning international act, The Insomniacs. This event is included in the cost of your home tour ticket, but tickets may be purchased at the door for $20. The reception includes an impressive selection of refreshments, complimentary wine and beer from Fort George Brewery and Buoy Beer, as well as our famous homemade blackberry lemonade. You wont want to miss our Cottage Tour photo booth and fall raffle. Raffle tickets may be purchased online, by phone, or at this event. The raffle features beautiful creations from artist Drea Frost, Jim Kingwell, and Eric Abel. We will be raffling off gift certificates to area restaurants, coffee shops, hotels, and gift baskets from Cannon Beach Soap Company and Beach House Teas.
