Get your tickets now!  A lot of events encourage advance ticket purchases, but this is one those events that you can truly benefit from purchasing in advance.  No waiting in the will-call line, just pull up at the Museum and a volunteer will hand you a map indicating parking, the homes and gardens to tour, and other useful information.  Easy peasy!

Let’s not forget the ever popular and always sold out luncheon and lecture event.  The luncheon takes place at the Tolovana Inn and is catered by Culinary Capers.  The presentation will be given by local artisan, Ed Overbay.  Since 1974, Overbay has been recognized as premiere northern Oregon artisan woodworker and craftsman. His company, Overbay Houseworks, has been creating, reinventing, and preserving unique Pacific Northwest architecture.

Following the tour attendees are invited to kick off their walking shoes and slip on their dancing shoes for a concert. All Museum doors will be open, with music floating through the air. Local phenom Maggie Kitson and her team of musicians will rock the evening away with soulful blues, R&B, and funk. Enjoy wine and hors d’oeuvres prepared by Sweet Charity. The highly anticipated quilt raffle will take place at 7:00 p.m.  The quilt was designed and created by local quilt artist Marilyn Dwyer. The quilt, entitled “By the Beautiful Sea” brings together iconic images of Cannon Beach surrounded by a swirl of blues, giving the impression of the coming tides. Raffle tickets are just five dollars.

The weekend’s events will wrap up with a brunch and garden presentation by local landscape architect, gardener and artist, Beth Holland. Holland will be hosting a dinner-theater style reading of minutes from select meetings of the Tolovana Garden Club at the Tolovana Inn at 11:00 a.m. on Sunday, September 14.  This event sold out last year as well, so get your tickets now!
